The UAS Clinic has a dedicated medical team including our school doctor, registered nurses, nurse assistants and medical secretary. The clinic is well equipped to provide first aid care and emergency treatment – for all our students and staff – throughout the school day, including activities. The Clinic team are well prepared, and experienced, to meet all the challenges of the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic; playing a key role overseeing the Covid-19 vaccination programs for all our staff and students between 12 – 18 years of age. We also provide social- emotional support, while enforcing all the necessary Health and Safety Guidelines initiated by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Ministry of Education (MOE) Kuwait.
In addition, the Clinic team facilitates all the preventive health services for students required by the MOH and MOE, including annual health screening, vaccination programs, and running health awareness programs and CPR courses for staff.
The mission of the UAS Counseling Department is to help support the personal, social, emotional, and academic development of our students so that they become productive citizens and lifelong learners.
Curriculum Coordinators help facilitate and collaborate with administrators and teachers to create high-quality professional development opportunities for teachers.
During the school year, the coordinators develop UAS curriculum plans and evaluate its textbooks and software programs. Specific content area standards are compared to United States National Standards and International Standards then reviewed and updated accordingly.
Based on teachers’ needs, the coordinators create and help tailor instructional materials, support implementation of new materials in the classroom, and mentor or train educators. They also partner alongside teachers as instructional coaches to increase student achievement.
Academic Software Coordinators
Our office provides technical software support to students and parents in a variety of methods which may include phone calls, e-mails and remotely. We attempt to diagnose and resolve problems reported in a timely manner and work simultaneously with the International Software Support team to assure providing the best educational service.
We are aligned with the school goal, as UAS believes that a true education lies in a life-long willingness to learn and adapt in the midst of a constantly changing world. Therefore, our team will be working to continually improving the service provided, especially with all these challenges we are facing worldwide with the Covid-19 pandemic and E-Learning.
We offer transportation services throughout a regular academic year for students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Our drivers are reliable and ensure your child’s safety on and off the bus.
We espouse to provide passengers with a safe, clean, and hostile-free environment and provide students on all buses with proper safety and security equipment such as seatbelts, computer tracking, and camera monitors.
Due to COVID-19 health and safety considerations, transportation services are suspended during e-learning and any learning sessions without full attendance.
Transportation will resume with ministry approval and when it is feasible. Parents are fully responsible to provide timely drop off and pick up of their children under any scenario where students are attending school on campus.
Transportation Safety Rules and Regulations:
We believe that a healthy student is a happy student and a happy student is an alert student. Our canteen’s menu is based on Ministry of Private Education’s approved vendors and provides students with the best choices for their lunches. Additionally, the food is inspected daily by our registered medical team to ensure student health.
Parents are encouraged to provide healthful lunches and snacks for their children at school, especially if students participate in after-school extra-curricular activities.
Due to COVID-19 health and safety considerations, canteen services are suspended during e-learning and any learning sessions without full attendance.
