UAS was delighted to host Dr. Shurooq Amin this week at the PD meeting. Dr. Shurooq started her presentation by giving a powerful talk about the power of determination and perseverance in the face of criticism and creating within yourself the willingness to continue to find ways to do what you love. Dr. Shurooq holds a PhD in Ekphrasis which is the connection between Art and Poetry. She inspired the attendees with her story and experience living here and abroad, empowering women and emphasizing how important teachers are in the lives of students and how their actions impact their lives.
